Wednesday was a beautiful sunny day so we drove over to Sequim (pronounced SKWIM) and walked around the John Wayne Marina.Mr. Wayne used to cruise into the area, tie up and then go into the bar with the locals. No crabbing today...we have plenty already. This weekend is the Sequim Lavender Festival. Lavender is one of my favorite plants and scents so I went into the Purple Haze Lavender Shop and bought some Lavender spritzer (I use it on the sheets). Too bad we won't be in the area for the festival...I've been a few times and it's fun. There is a huge street fair and tours of some of the lavender farms in the area plus everything you can imagine laced with lavender...cheesecake,lattes,chicken.
Back to Fort Flagler and a walk on the beach where I discovered this shelter built out of driftwood logs.
This morning it is very foggy..not too chilly..50 degrees or so. I hope the sun burns it off...we have a tee time in Port Townsend at 11AM.
