We took a drive down the Idaho side of the Pend Oreille River today to a small town called Usk. The Kalispell Indians have a large buffalo ranch there. They were having a great time rolling in the grass and grazing in the sun. (The buffalo, not the indians). There is a community pool and health facility near the buffalo ranch and outside we saw some kids barbqueing. We walked on over and they asked us what we wanted so we had ourselves a free lunch of hot dogs,potato salad and brownies. Apparently the center was hosting a career day...lots of firemen and cops.
The Newport Rodeo is this weekend. Not sure which day we'll attend.
