Jack and I attended our 3rd parade of the season yesterday. There was the usual contingent of tractors and firetrucks. This parade had a large Shriner turnout as well as dozens of fancy horses which we saw later at the rodeo. The funniest thing to watch... the kids scrambling for the candy thrown along the parade route. They come prepared with plastic bags for gathering their loot..obviously not their first rodeo.
And speaking of rodeos..we bought our tickets and sat in the bleachers to watch calf roping and bronco riding. After about an hour we decided we'd had enough. The guys attempting to stay atop the broncos must be sore and bruised by the end of the evening. As always, people watching is a great past time.We noticed there seems to be a high number of teenagers with babies in this town. In some cases one in a stroller, one in arms and one on the way!
One of our neighbors has three kitty's on board and this white one "Cassidy" came to visit this morning. He lost interest in us when we wouldn't open the door to let him snoop.
Today is the River Rat Rodders car show in Priest River. Another sunny day so we'll probably check it out.
