The Sign Says It All

Still raining this morning so we decided to take a road trip over Flower Trail Pass (elevation 4046) to Chewelah (pronounced Chew Wee La). The God Fearing Brothers have quite the auto center on the outskirts of town.  Chewelah means "gartersnake" in Spokane Indian language. It has the only 27 hole golf course in Eastern Washington..Chewelah Golf and Country Club.. and it is a beautiful,well maintained course with enormous, gorgeous homes surrounding it. There is also a casino in town where we stopped for lunch...(okay we played some slots too)

We won't do the whole loop but hope to drive up the east side of Priest Lake when the sun comes out again.
